Divan

Entrance to the Divan, Topkapi Sarayi, (Topkapi Palace) Istanbul, Turkey. The divan was the meeting hall of the vazirs of the Ottoman empire. It was here, that the vast kingdom was ruled from, and the day to day decisions were made. This is also where the english word ‘diwan’ originates from.

Just got back from the trip a few days ago. Here is a view of the inside of the’ Sultanahmet Camii’ (pronounce: sooltaanahmed  jami) , Istanbul, Turkey. Also known as the Blue Mosque. This image was created by stitching together about 15 photos using PTGui.
