La Fontaine Saint-Michel

Saint Michael’s fountain, Paris, France. Sorry for the long silence folks. I had ordered a monitor calibration tool, and had halted all photo processing activities until I got my monitor calibrated.

Was that photography talk? Calibrating a Monitor? Anyway, this is fun to see….been there.
I may get to go out to California soon. Have never been west of the Rockies. I wish I had a better camera……and knew how to use it.
I wondered where you’d been! Good to see you back. This photo rocks! I love coming here because I know I’ll get to see something I’ll never get to see. Make sense?
Very pretty! Hope the calibration doesn’t drive you too crazy – I keep my monitor calibrated, but have a hard time getting prints to match, grrrr……
I wondered what happened to you:-) You certainly came live with a beautiful image.
This is a beautiful shot – calibrating my monitor now there something I should do…. I think I should take heed sometimes and follow in the footsteps of people like you who create art by photographing art. So far… the closest I get is an old log cabin.
Brilliant shot!
This is a brilliant photo.
And I probably shouldn’t even mention, uh – calibrating monitor?? One more thing to look up, I suppose. I’m glad for the opportunity to learn, but there is so much I have no clue about.
thanks folks.
Adam – i found this website extremely helpful, and was able to get my monitor to match my lab prints very closely. they have ICC printer profiles for all major labs across the country.

Ankush, good for you for going the nine-yards and calibrating your screen. You’ll find that your print-making will go so much smoother and your images will be more consistent across other viewer’s screens. BTW, the color in this image is WONDERFUL!
This is a very nice crisp image…
Beautiful image Ankush, monitor calibrating is like going to the dentist, you know you need to do it but it still is a very uncomfortable under taking !!
thanks folks
I love the color in this. Very sharp too.
Ankush it seems like you are finding a style that really fits what you see and feel and I love it!!! Calibration! Nothing like it!
