Diwan

Entrance to the Divan, Topkapi Sarayi, (Topkapi Palace) Istanbul, Turkey. The divan was the meeting hall of the vazirs of the Ottoman empire. It was here, that the vast kingdom was ruled from, and the day to day decisions were made. This is also where the english word ‘diwan’ originates from.

On a side note, I am wondering what to do with all these thousands of travel, and architecture type photos that I have brought back with me. The ‘undeclared’ theme of this blog has been predominantly nature photography so far. Should I diverge from the theme and continue sharing photos of this nature? I will of course, come back to nature photography at some point….
